Long post is lengthy

Might want to grab a beverage and some snacks for this one. I haven't updated in a while...

So Much to tell. Firstly, I went on my trip down to Vancouver to see Allison, and to hang around in Vancouver. This began with a flight down on Air Canada Jazz, which was really good. Apparently it is not the busy season for flying, so I got a row all to myself, and it was good fun. I like flying, it is fun. When I got down there, I met up with Jess, and I was glad to see her, as it has been quite a while. We made our way on the Canada line to the seabus (I love the seabus), and then to the Quay, and finally to Phibbs (the phibbs exchange). I was tired from the trip though, so I was not much good at making fun plans. Oh wells.

The majority of the time down there revolved around the grad art show, which was super awesome and much better than Emily Carr :P I ended up helping out some of the people at the art place, like Jose, who was just finishing his piece 15 minutes before the start of the show. At one point I also bought lunch for Allison and her friend Nina, who is a starving art student, and - in my opinion - needed foods. Also there was a lot of dinners, lunches, and visiting with Allison's family, which I think went very well. I think they liked me overall, which is good ^_^

The big fun I got to do was a day just for Allison and I when we went to Stanley Park! We went to the aquarium, and I got to see otters, and belugas, and dolphins, and a big amazon fish and a whole slew of other things. It was very Awesome. Then we walked around Stanley park, and got to see the lighthouse and cannon. :) The whole adventure was fun, followed by sushi and shopping at a Japanese specialty store.

Mochi is a strange but very good food.

Tuesday night Allison went to the opera with family, and I navigated my way back to her place, stopping on the way back to buy a big thingy of flowers for her ^_^

The trip back Wednesday was also good, I got my own row again, but there was slightly more turbulence just outside of terrace. It was still good and Dad picked me up from the airport.

Since I got back, it has been a lot of Work and cleaning, and still more cleaning. I came back to work to find that my boss had been fired by the big-boss. Apparently her rudeness towards customers finally got her in trouble (she was kind like the grouchy person with a heart of gold). My new boss person is the person in charge of the deli, and she is very nice.

I have been recuperating, and having the occasionally fun stuffs. Richelle came over one day, and we hung out, catching up on stuff and I ended up showing her lots of pics and maps and photos and stuff.

Yesterday I went to hang out with Keith, and there was "Boffering", which is the act of using boffers. Boffers are the foam-covered sticks used to imitate medieval combat. So boffer swords, maces, daggers, shields, pikes, and otherwise. It was Really fun! imagine SCA with "beer and pretzel" rules. we had single combat, as well as big battles (which requires 8+ people). I am going to try to convince others to come and enjoy this game of brutal foam melee. It is also the only real fun exercise I've found since fencing, and it also uses all my fencing skills. Even though it was my first time, I quickly too position as a premier fighter.

At one point somebody hit my leg, so I had to go down on one knee, and there were two more opponents. I could hear my team-mates (who were lying down because they were dead) comment "well, he's injured, so we're probably going to lose...". I proceeded to be flanked by the two remaining fighters, and in some flash of warrior-savantism, I managed to - in one fluid motion - take out both opponents. It felt so very awesome, made better by team mates comments of "holy crap.....".

I think I will endeavor to join in these happenings in the future. I likes Boffering.

That's about it for now, I intend to go see Iron Man 2 tonight, and Allison will be watching it at the same time in Vancouver. Mrawr!

Current Creative Outlet: pseudo-WW2 universe setting called "Seas of Iron" (or called that until further improvement). I have drawn a few maps for it, detailing the fictional countries in their "great war". I have also drawn numerous ships used by each side, such as the ones below: The LMS Pegasus (LMS meaning "Lord Majesties Ship") and LMS Illustrious - both from Cordia, a nation analogistic to Britain, and the Amyagi - a ship from Rin-Quiy, the analogy of the Japanese Empire.

I have also been listening to a band called "The Headstones", who did a cover of an old Travelling Willburys song "tweeter and the monkeyman". Its good, and I wholly suggest listening to it.

Hopefully I will be updating more often now. Have a happy day everyone!
