Back in time

I kind of wonder if anybody still reads this. Hopefully.

Last night, and Indeed, all of yesterday was quite awesome. It started with numerous tramping around town in the morning, timmys coffee, getting a good movie, watching a movie, and generally recovering from working. Then, Allison and I went to lakelse lake, the picnic area, and swam across the creek to the gruchies area. I got to see a trout, some golf balls in the water, and a freshwater clam. As it happened, Allison was too tired to swim back across the stream (its a big and deep stream, being about 200' wide where its good to cross), so she hopped on my back and I swam us back (Sea Panda to the rescue!). Then I made her a wonderful meal of KD, and the peasants rejoiced.

Later I went to boffer, which proved to be very good. At the beginning, I ended up taking victories in good number, at one point being myself and one other against 8 people, and unfortunately - we won. This was unfortunate, as I was a team captain, and could not be traded out, so the next battle was myself versus 9 people. I almost won. :)

It went quite well overall. I had lots of fun, worked well with the other bofferers, and eventually I got completely beat to crap. I had to take glorious vengeance a few times for slights against me in previous rounds, including, but not limited to: the god-damned dagger thrower, and the speedy guy named Devon. they cost me many a life, so I had to take such vengeful measures. It was fun overall, and i think everybody had a good time. My wounds were limited to being clocked in the right leg a few times, and having some bruising in the soft tissue and maybe even bone, and I also got blisters on my hand and knuckles from wielding my shield so much. I took good advice and bought some frozen veggies on the way back, which served as a cold pack. Now, I will, for the fun of it, list the mighty warriors who took part in glorious combat yesterday.

Myself = the beast
Keith = our benefactor and foamsmith
Aaron = the energetic one
Matt = the punisher (and also an honourary "the beast")
Trenton = the beast in training
Zack = a new fellow, seemed to enjoy himself a lot
Devon = the speedy one, also a blackbelt in jujitsu
Myles = a foamsmith as well, strong fellow
Amanda = a sneaky and good fighter
Trevor = the pirate
Kyla = the rogue
Kelly = the surprisingly-adept-at-dagger-throwing lady

I believe that was all that were there. It was a good day.

Okay, cool.

Okay, cool. I am kinda tipsy drunk.

Yes, that's right, I am tipsy drunk. I will attempt to spell correctly in my assertion of the evenings events. Well, I worked a long shift, in which i had to continue to teach a new coworker how to job. This did not go well, as she is slow on the uptake, and well.... she is not smart. This is unfortunate, as she is rather nice to the customers, and I think she would be a good addition to the team... if she can be left alone for more than 5 minutes.

Anywho, I was getting to the drunk part. I went to the Spirit after work to wish Alice a happy birthday and possibly dance. I did not dance, as my ankle and neck were hurt from various dancing and headbanging (respectively) during the prior evening. I did dispense hugs in good quality and quantity.

So I ended up having 2 beers at the place, and a shot of tequila. Then I eventually decided that sleep and recuperation were superior to auditory damage. I then began to mosey home, and upon venturing down my street, I was hailed by a neighbor. This neighbor said hello, and suggested I join him for a refreshing beer. I know him from work, so I decided to acquiesce to his proposition, as his recompense to delaying my homeward trek was in the form of alcoholic beverage. I ended up "chilling" in his house/shed/treehouse (groundhouse) while enjoying antiquated music and refreshing drinks. I found out that he was in fact a poet, and very oddly, a good one. He also seemed to display traits of the pseudo-paranoid archetypal leftist, but seeing as how this is rural northern BC, its usually either that or rednecks.

I then decided to venture home, and bid my farewell, thus getting home to watch space operas and draw space ships. And of course write this strangely worded blog. All in all - 5 beers, and a shot of tequila for taste - what a fine recipe.

Sincerely yours

Darth Molar

He's more filling now than tooth....

Well, I had a good thing happen, being that I got the last of my dental work done, and that included not getting a root canal.

Yep.

I started watching the first few episodes of the sci-fi series "babylon 5", and it seems pretty cool so far. Hooray for sci-fi!

The Pandrews Kitchen: Shin Ramyun Gourmet Spicy

Them Noodles

Price: $1.09 at the Superstore.

Cooking: 5 minutes on the stove top.

Okaydoke! Here goes - first taste!.... well, the noodles are fairly good, though omg holy crap... spicy. Quite spicy, but it is grand. It comes with a packet of dried vegable bits, which are pretty good. They still don't have much or any nutrition, but its still quite yummy. Beef flavour. Yum.
I recall getting this before, and now - as then, it is overly spicy, but very good tasting. I think I will try to more water next time, to get less powerful spice. The Spice must flow.

Very goodly overall, good quantity, good flavour, good price, good gravy. I will recommend this to others, but beware the burning greatness which is the hot spice. Muaahaha! Also, as an interesting side note, The Noodle pack is round, to make boiling in a small pot easier.

Lame. Anywho, I watched some god movies recently, such as "We Sell The Dead", which is about grave robbers who stumble upon undead grave robbing. Then of course, I watched "Teeth" last night. Yep. About a vagina with teeth that can cut off certain things during sex. Yep. A movie full of class, no doubt.

That is all for now.

Doing Okay

Hello

Well, a bunch of stuff has been going on, some good and some not so good, but I am okay. I am an Andrew, I will survive. The Back to the Future party went well, and that was good. All three movies were spliced together, and although it went very long, it was good.

Work is going goodly, though I did get to train a new person. She is very new to working, and does not really... learn quickly. So it was a little frustrating, but I made sure not to discourage her with anything. Thankfully she started picking up the basics eventually, which is good.

I picked up some more stuff for the Pandrews Kitchen, including some canned coffee beverages, and various noodle packs. Wootles.

That's gonna be it for now.

My my, look at the time.

Well, it has been a long time since my Last update, and A lot of thing happened. So many things happened that I was trying to make mental lists in my head of all the events, but I am bad with this memory thing sometimes, so Here is a quick annotated list.

1) Had a night of the living crazies: 4 incidents of crazy, deranged, swearing, meanie peoples in one night. it was a welfare Wednesday, so I guess that's why. One even verbally assaulted and nearly attacked our security lady - Lucy.

2) Lucy came by work and gave me a bonus on behalf of her and the bosses for fending off the crazies expertly (especially the one who was about to go after Lucy).

3) I finally went on a Canoe trip! it was a full day of boating on Lakelse lake with Allison. It was awesome, and I do like it, but I feel I must note (in a pseudo British wit that borders on morbid) that although it was very fun, it also nearly ended in terrible disaster. We began with a very light breeze which I plotted a course that would use the wind to push us back on the final length. This course took us across the lake to look at cool cabins and the like (still have not found the party boat). However, before we turned back for camp, the wind changed and blew up, forcing us to paddle against the wind in increasing waves, across the middle of the lake. Yep. I have diligently informed Allison that, should I ever suggest crossing the middle of the lake again, she is allowed to slap me - with one of the canoe paddles. Thankfully, Allison enjoyed the trip muchly, but fails to see the humour in my old-salt-mannerism of reflecting on the trip.. "Oh yeah, very fun, nearly died, but still fun."

4) a bunch of other stuff happened. I can't quite remember what, but It was incredibly important.

5) I got to go swimming for the first time this summer. Unfortunately, it was at the pool, and some vagrant seems to have pilfered my swim goggles. on the plus side, since it was the pool, Allison was not made cold by certain un-temperate lake qualities. We also hit up the gym beforehand. It was very good. We also got to go to the falls gallery yesterday, although I must admit, I was in a positively powerful mood to do some swimming and diving, and the falls gallery is mostly small sitting pools. It was still fun, but it did not fulfill my aquatic-mammal requirements. Though it still was fun. Too much sun perhaps.....

6) I am so pale. I have not had mush sun or swimming this summer yet, This must be rectified.

7) I have been enjoying some good books and movies as of recent. Yesterday I watched Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. Yep, very silly. Recently, I also watched Dead Snow (which is about zombie Nazis attacking skiers in the Swedish mountains) and Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter (Freaking Awesome. It is about Jesus and his helpers - such as Santo the Mexican wrestler - helping to save the Lesbians of Ottawa from a sect of vampires. Oh, and it's a musical). Another movie i watched recently was Planet Hulk - the story of how the incredible hulk was transported to another planet and became their benevolent emperor... sounds strange, but they make it work quite well. I also read a very good book - Good Omens, by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchet. So very good, I suggest it to all peoples.

8) Boffer has been going well, though we had many rained-out days in the last little while. I hurt my ankle yesterday, but everything is still good.

9) Tonight is a Back to the Future party, which should be awesome. ^_^

10) I have been doing more work on the Seas of Iron thing (the thing with the WW2 looking boats), and in fact, I think that has been eating up all my writing focus for the last little while. I even started drawing some planes for it.

11) not much else now, but hopefully I will be able to do more usual updates, and not let it wait so long that I have a tough time remembering everything.

12) See you next time
- Andrew, from the FUTURE!!!
